Although he purchased it, my bf decided on being a patriarchal ___hole procrastinating or refusing to put it together for me. Meanwhile, I’m sleeping on the sofa!! So, I gathered all my feminine strength, the same strength God enabled women to bear children with, and I took each wood piece, the little metal tool that came in the box and our power drill and then with one glance at the instructions PATIENTLY AND slowly and gently put it all together piecebypiece ALL BY MYSELF!Every time I heard the sound of the power drill I knew I was letting him know, I’m an independent woman and you are not doing to hold me back from a good night sleep. I never once had to ask him for assistance because the holes are pre drilled a bit so you know where to drill the nails. The only thing wrong was the cover doesn’t fit the frame as it is too small for it so I have something that more resembles a bohemian pallet bed BUT!! All things considered, It is sturdy and seems good quality wood with a nice color. I’m hoping that it lasts a while and I’m going to buy another one as a guest frame. There is no squeaking and it is supporting my weight on my mattress super wellWe’ve had this since roughly May 28, 2022. We haven’t had any issues with it. Per another reviewers’ suggestions. We used Gorilla Wood Glue, liberally & thoroughly, to assemble it. Let it cure for the time stated on the bottle before putting any weight on it. We also sat the box springs on the wood slats we originally had. For the price of this & the glue, it’s good & we’re satisfied. We have a crappy, old, spring mattress (to be replaced) that does just fine on it. I think for a memory foam or similar. A sheet of plywood would be helpful. I realize that things are starting to add up here. However. For those of us on a tight budget & bad credit. It’s a great way to slowly (& financially manageable) put together a bed system that works for us. Overall. With a little glue & some creative thinking. This box spring is excellent value for the price. Highly recommend!I had an old spring box frame and had just bought a new Purple mattress, learning that you really need a rigid box frame if you choose to not use the mattress on a platform bed frame. I bought this springless box frame and it was perfect. I am a very handy person and almost built my own, yet for the price, this was a wonderful value and it is perfect for my needs. However, I did cut and add more slats as my mattress required less than 3 inches of space between slats, and this box has around 4.5 inches between slats.Being handy, I found it super easy to build as it comes in parts, so you do have to assemble it. I used a drill and screw gun even though it claims to not need tools. Minimally you will want to have a Philips screwdriver to drive all the screws. Not including adding slats, it probably took me about 30 minutes to assemble.Expected better quality of wood for the price. Some areas were split and some were jagged which was extremely disappointing. The actual size when constructed was smaller than advertised, it is smaller than the dimensions of my full sized mattress.So far it seems solid, I really didn't have any issues putting the cover on like some reviews mentioned. My mattress seems more level and consistent with this than the bunkie board I was using. It's really heavy but I managed to construct and drag it onto my bed myself. Just think quality of wood should have been better. Quality control missed the boat on this one.So this is awesome! I will be buying another when we replace the mattress in our master bedroom. What is UP with the crazy prices of mattresses AND no box spring included. I bought this to put under my daughters Nectar mattress and I absolutely LOVE being able to choose what height you want. It took me all of 15-20 minutes to put together and the thing is excellently designed and very sturdy. This is a great buy!
