I LOVE these new Green Wall, Double Frame Planters. I bought 3 of them so the boys and I can grow some of our own food. It took me the longest to do the first one as oldest, homeschooled grandson decided he didn't want to do school work today and it's been a fight. Took me a good 45 mins. Next two took me less than 25 mins with "help" lol. I used both the instructions (blow-apart pictures) and the YouTube video to get the first one together. On the second one I just glanced at the instructions to make sure I was doing it right. Third one, didn't need instructions.Didn't take much strength to do it, just follow instructions and diagramsThis is very sturdy. I found that when I clicked the pieces in place, there was a gap between the two part - it's ok. When you put the next piece on, it will squeeze those pieces together and hold tightly. A couple of times I did need to go back and slide the bracket pieces back up as I hadn't seated them well enough, but it just took a second to do that.I was able to pick it up to put it outside. I also took a reviewer's suggestion and put the wheels on a diagonal so that one locking wheel in front and then the other on the opposite corner to it ( / ). That way, no matter which way the frame is placed there will be a "back wheel" and a "front wheel that can be locked down.I liked the baskets. I know some have commented that dirt and water run out over the cutout part. Perhaps these that I have are a newer design, but they don't look like they're lose dirt or water over the edge and they seem ti sit pretty straight on the railing. Perhaps that will be different when I actually fill the baskets.----Update-----I am seriously impressed with the customer service at Watex. I messaged them about the broken caster and they got back to me really fast, even though it was a holiday weekend. They were very helpful and got me taken care of right away. The replacement arrived yesterday so now my little planter is fully functional and ready to go.If you're on the fence with this one at all, give it a try. It's a good little planter and the vendor is easy to work with.--------------Good things first. I do really like this unit. It's sturdy and made of better quality materials than I was expecting. I don't doubt that it will do an admirable job holding plants when planting time starts. That said, there are a few things that could use improvement.1, I got a busted caster. Not too worried about it because even if the company won't replace it, I'll be contacting them, it should be pretty easy to diy a fix.2, you cannot change the basket configuration and expect to use the watering hoses. The emitters are fixed and can only be configured in the order that they're in.3, the terminal end emitter free floats and doesn't drip. It doesn't have anything to lock it into place like the others do and whatever goes into that basket is going to get half the water of its counterpart4, the adapter leaks at the hose but can probably be fixed with some teflon tape or a gasket.I'll update when I hear back from their customer service. This planter is perfect for my needs: it is easy to get out of the sun in SW FL, like the watering system, will grow enough for two, is quite stable in breezes. I received no help from the manufacturer whom I called six times. No tube was marked, I obviously received a returned item because the box was opened and damaged, not one pipe was marked. My clever daughter improvised, added parts and got it in working order. So my review is five stars for the clever planter, minus five stars for the unresponsive manufacturer. Het Watertex, if you are not going to answer, don’t put your phone number on the instructions. This assembled really easily - we did not use the drip system. The only complaint is that the uprights are a bit thinner in diameter and despite being sturdy, the framework does shake a bit with the loaded pots installed. I don't plan on, nor do I recommend, pulling the sides to move the unit around. I plan to move the unit from the bottom, which will mean bending over and pulling, but that's fine because for the money, it is a great deal. Everything assembled easily and feels very sturdy; the locking castors are great, but I would recommend making sure you have one on each side rather than both on one side - just may be personal preference. I was unable to purchase in black, but the spring green color is okay - not my first choice, but I'm sure once stuff is growing it will blend. We filled each pot and it holds probably 35-40 pounds of soil. I would purchase again - Enjoy!I absolutely love this, I've been looking forever for a portable herb garden that's extremely functional, easy to set up and looks really awesome. It's great you can customize with the size and or color combination that fits your space and personality. I like this one because you don't have to take up counter space. We use a lot of herbs and while some can withstand the heat in Texas a lot of them can't and quite frankly buying herbs in the store is pricey. This can easily be on the patio and when the weather turns cold we can just roll it inside so those delicate herbs don't die.. I love the drip watering system so you don't have to worry about watering all the time.I had a lot of problems with the clips that hold the shelves and cross bars. The directions are mostly pictures with few written directions. They would have been helpful.I ended up calling customer support and DENISE was very helpful. She sent me a link to YOU TUBE that had a WATEX video (but the hose connection appears to be different on mine than the one in the video). All in all I like the concept...Hope it holds up for the price.WATEX customer service has been quite helpful!
